Empty Frames is a short musical inspired by the multimillion dollar 1990 art theft at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. 26 years after the theft, at an annual Halloween party, a guard meets someone who looks rather familiar. As they become acquainted, the guard realizes the other man is someone who had been IN – literally – one of the stolen paintings and has recovered all pf the others, except for the one they both love the most. Is it long gone? Or is it maybe closer than it seems?
