Can Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, sabotage the brilliant general Odysseus' wooden horse full of Greek soldiers, before they attack Troy? Can the Greek soldiers piled inside it keep still? Will anyone listen to Cassandra? In the Horse: the musical comic drama inside and around the horse at the center of the Trojan War.

Kit Goldstein Grant (Music) has written music, lyrics and/or librettos for numerous musicals, including It's Raining Tamales!, published by YouthPLAYS, and The Nose, second-prize winner in the Jackie White Memorial National Children's Play Writing Contest. She has studied at Juilliard, the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop and ESPA at Primary Stages, and she is founding member of NYC's Composers Collective.

Sophie Oberfield (Book and Lyrics, Director) is thrilled to have you at the first-ever staged reading of a musical she's written! She has studied lyric writing, playwriting, and directing at ESPA at Primary Stages, and participated in the New York Musical Theater Festival's songwriting workshop in 2014 and again in 2015, as a recipient of an ASCAP Emerging Composer Scholarship.
